Oil and Gas projects in United Kingdom
Laggan-Tormore is an offshore gas field located in water depths of approximately 1,950 feet (600 meters) west of the Shetland Islands in the North Sea. The project is anticipated to produce 90,000 boepd under optimum conditions over a lifespan of around 20 years. It is the first UK offshore project be have been constructed entirely underwater, with a 143 km subsea tie-back to the 500 mcf per day Shetland Gas Plant, and onward to the UK mainland via the SIRGE and FUKA pipelines. By the third quarter of 2018, Total plans to tie-back the nearby Edradoru and Glenlivet gas discoveries to Laggan-Tormore at an investment cost of GBP650 million (US$849 million).
