Shell Floating LNG Production Platform FLNG - Prelude (PLNG)

Description

The world’s first FLNG facility is moored 200 km from the nearest land in Australia. The unit is capable of producing 3.6 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG, plus 1.3 mtpa of condensate and 0.4 mtpa LPG. The facility produces natural gas at sea, turns it into LNG and then transfers it directly to the ships that transport it to customers.
